Creative Business Development
Our mission is to empower designers, artists and
makers in business to create meaningful and
relevant learning opportunities for the creative community.
What is BrisStyle Inc.?
With an established reputation of providing small business development opportunities, BrisStyle Inc. has vast knowledge and experience within the creative community. At our core is our mission to empower designers, artists and makers who own and manage their own business.
Over the 12 years since the not-for-profit organisation of BrisStyle was established, we have collaborated with a huge variety of trainers, mentors and facilitators to provide important educational opportunities to creative contributors of the small business economy.
Whether it’s advice on marketing and social media or education on bookkeeping and legal obligations, we have an extensive network that includes professionals and experts able to impart their knowledge and share their advice to a highly productive segment of this niche industry.

What BrisStyle can do?
Draw inspiration from our portfolio of past projects.
Education Programs
In conjunction with Brisbane City Council, BrisStyle has conceived the Maker Entrepreneur Program, established to provide a boost to creative entrepreneurs interested in launching their business with a solid foundation. By completing our 20 week program, makers are prepared for success by selling more products, reaching new audiences and participating in markets whilst forming long-lasting business relationships.
Creative Development Sessions
BrisStyle partners with organisations like the BrisStyle City Council Library services to host a range of short workshops aimed to extend support to a broad range of small business owners to provide free 1-1.5 hour training sessions on topics such as social media for makers, photography your products and selling your work.
MasterClasses
For makers that do not have the time to commit to a long mentorship program, BrisStyle adapted the program to create our MasterClass weekend series. These highly engaged sessions provide a potent channel for people to network with other makers within their community whilst learning valuable skills for practical application, such as business planning, product photography and bookkeeping basics.
Conferences
The jewel in the yearly creative development event crown, Create and Connect is a full day conference hosted and coordinated by BrisStyle. A ticketed event that attracts hundreds of makers from across South East Queensland and featuring the emcee skills of local hero Kirsten Devitt (each to own), the event focuses on a mixture of networking, inspiration and education.
Markets
Well-known for its ability to produce enjoyable family-friendly events, BrisStyle has a yearly calendar of markets and can similarly arrange small-scale functions and pop ups to increase engagement of the creative community and activate new spaces.
